CERITA LUCU / HUMOR

DID YOU WANT TO TELL SOME THING?

Dentist, always ask questions when it is impossible for you to answer. My dentist had just pulled out one of my teeth and had told me to rest for a while. I tried to say some thing, but my mouth was full of cotton-wool. He knew I collected bird’s eggs and asked me whether my collection was growing.
He then asked me how my brother was and whether I like my new job. In answer to these questions I either nodded or made strange noises. Meanwhile, my tongue was busy searching out the hole where the tooth had been. I suddenly felt very worried, but could not say anything. When the dentist at last removed the cotton-wool from my mouth, I was able to tell him that he had pulled out the wrong teeth.

A PRETY CARPET

We have just moved into a new house and I have been working hard all morning. I have been trying to get my new room in order. This has not been easy because I own over a thousand books.
To make matter worst, the room is rather small, so I have temporarily put my books on the floor. At the moment, they cover every inch of floor space and I actually have to walk on them to get in or out of the room. A short while ago, my sister helped me to carry one off my old bookcase. She went into my room and gets a big surprise when she saw all those books on the floor.
“This is the prettiest carpet I have ever seen” she said. She gazed (memandang tajam) at it for some time and then added, “You don’t need bookcase at all. You can sit here and read the carpet!”

A PRIVAT CONVERSATION

Last week I went to the theater. I had a very good seat. The play was very interesting. I did not enjoy it. A young man and a young woman were sitting behind me. They were talking loudly.
I got very angry. I could not hear the actor. I turned round. I looked at the man and the woman angrily. They did not pay attention.
In the end, I could not bear it (tidak tahan). I turned around again. “I can’t hear a word!” I said angrily. “It’s none of your business!!!” the young man said rudely (kasar). “This is a private conversation!!!!!!!!”

FOOD AND TALK

Last week at a dinner party, the hostess asked me to sit next to Mrs. Rumbold. Mrs. Rumbold was large, unsmiling lady in a tight black dress. She did not even look up when I took my seat beside her.
Her eyes were fixed on her plate and in short time, she was busy eating. I tried to make conversation.
“A new ply is coming to “The Globe” soon” I said, “Will you being see it?”
“No “She answered.
“Will you spending your holydays abroad this year?” I asked.
“No “She answered.
“Will you be stay in England??” I asked again.
“No “She answered.
In despair, I asked her whether she was enjoying her dinner.
“Young man …” she answered “ if you ate more and talked less, we would both enjoy our dinner!!!, Do you understand???”

Ndak lucu??? Ya ndak papa, tujuannya kan memang belajar bahasa inggris.
